RESPOND TO MY TEACHER 3 SENTENCE

I know technology can be distracting but it can also be a way to get and keep students attention. In our current society watching videos is a normal part of the life experience. We have smart phones, tablets and computers that show movies and videos. We are conditioned to focus. When I observe student teachers in a classroom and they are asked to watch a video, I see ninety plus percent  students on task. The high on task lasts as long as the video. It is a powerful tool for teaching.

It just needs to be teacher controlled and directed.
