In this chapter you learned about the PESTEL framework. PESTEL stands for the following six dimensions: Political, Economic, Sociocultural, Technological, Environmental, and Legal.  This framework is an external analysis tool that allows management to gather information about and examine the general environment in which the organization operates.  This analysis helps managers to better understand the opportunities and threats they face as an organization.

For your video assignment, I would like for you to select a company and then decide which of the 6 PESTEL dimensions you believe to be most important for the company to consider.  You will then complete an analysis for the chosen dimension as it pertains to the company you selected.  For example, I have selected Apple, Inc. as my company and I believe the Legal dimension is most important for them to consider.  Therefore, I would perform an analysis for just the Legal dimension as it relates to Apple, Inc.

Included in the current week’s folder is a link to a complete PESTEL analysis for Apple, Inc. Be sure to review this analysis as it will serve as a guide as you complete this assignment.  Because I provided this analysis, you may not select Apple, Inc. for this assignment.

In your video recording, please present the information in the following sequence:

• First, state the name of the organization you selected and provide a brief overview of what they do.

• Then, state which dimension you believe is most important for the organization to consider and why.

• Lastly, present your analysis of the dimension as it relates to the organization you selected.

Your recording should not exceed 3 minutes in length. You should be in either professional business or business casual attire.  Please be sure to speak clearly so that your peers can hear and understand what you are saying.
