Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to bring together your accumulative knowledge which you have acquired throughout the semester.
This assessment is a continuation from Assessment 2 (Literature review).
You will be required to submit the following in order to successfully complete this assessment:
- Complete the attached Research Proposal Form(30% of the overall grade).
- Present your Research topic (15% of the overall grade):
- Present to the audience your research topic using Power Point slides. This presentation must be based on your Research Proposal.
- Your presentation should include the following sections:
· research background information;
· your findings from the literature review;
· justification of your research questions;
· justification of your methods of data collection and analysis;
· possible research implications (who may benefit from your research).
- Your presentation should be engaging, interactive and simple enough that the audience can comprehend what you have investigated.
- At the end of your presentation, students and/or the lecturer will ask you questions about the research.
- Individual presentations must be between 5 – 8 minutes. You are allowed to use up to 6 Power Point slides.

· Adhere to APA 6.0 referencing style;
· Print on only one side of the page;
· Be consistent in your formatting for things such as headings, subheadings numbering, and in the way graphs and tables are presented;
· Text should be 1.5 spacing;
· 12 point font.

Research question(s) The question(s) you intend to investigate in the project.
PRoject design (method) Describe data collection techniques (e.g. focus groups, survey, experiment), the sampling technique used, the number of participants, and methods of analysing information. Include as much detail of the actual research plan as possible (up to 700 words).
1) What method(s) of data collection will you use and why? 2) What sampling technique(s) will you use and why? 3) How many participants will be involved? 4) How long will this research take? 5) Where will you conduct the research? 6) What method(s) of data analysis will you use and why? 7) How will your research findings be communicated back to the interested parties or participants?
Project implications A brief account (up to 200 words) of the reasons how the specific group or the community sector as a whole may benefit from this research. Indicate who the potential users of the study findings will be, and how the study might be used to improve the organisation(s), group(s), or sector.
Ethical Approval Include information on the ethical procedures that you will follow as defined by your School/Faculty. This should include information about the process of obtaining informed consent. (up to 100 words).
Timeline Provide a timeline that indicates when you expect aspects of the work to be undertaken (assume).
Your own learning Indicate what you have learnt throughout the semester. (up to 300 words).
