RESEARCH INSTRUCTIONS

1.      You are required to conduct a research and explain the role that faith played in U.S. foreign policy toward the Middle East prior to the Civil War. (650–700 words)

2.      Identify and explain the primary U.S. interests in the Middle East prior to 1900.  (350–400 words).
