What are some "cons" that you can see in value stream mapping (VSM)?  Can you defend one or more of them from those who thinks there are none?  Dr. Irani at Ohio State University has published some of the problems with VSM from an Industrial Engineering View to give you some ideas and "ammo" to support your case.  Factory Physics also has some issues with VSM - particularly as it relates to "future state" designs vs "current state" situation.  Research the topic further, add your citations
