Redo the World - 1000 to 2500 word due July 13th

Given the sobering facts of the environment, disease, war, poverty, injustice, and crime here at the beginning of the 21^st century and the possible consequence of annihilation of civilization or even mankind before 2100, might the master/slave duality be destroying our world?

ASSIGNMENT: Is the human world so messed up now that we should scrap all our social systems and start over, or can the world be changed in just bits and pieces?

REQUIREMENTS: 1000 to 2,500 words, MLA-Format -- heading, abstract, body with citations, works cited (not bibliography), and reasoned arguments.
