Attached is a link to the poem "Bashert" by Irene Klepfisz . Please read the 2  halves of the poem, For Those Who Died and For Those Who Survived as well as the autobiographal sections from p. 1-12.

For the poems, write a few well organized , well focused and well supported paragraphs of the main theme in each section. What do you think the poet thinks abut the factors that contributed to death and to survival for Jews during the Holocaust?
