Reading Tartuffe, Backwards and Forwards

you simply read Tartuffe, then analyze it from the last scene to the first, to see what details you might have missed the first time. Your assignment consists of tracking the action of the play....backwards, one sentence per scene, so that you can detect, as Ball says, "that which is required".
