Greetings!  This is a short message to clarify what I expect for the Media Example, due on Monday 9/9 (our next class session).  What you need to do is:
 
(1) Find a news article, using the credible sources listed on the syllabus, that is about RELIGION.
(2) Save or copy the article, and be prepared to print it.
(3) Read the article carefully, and discern whether it contains a logical argument.  In other words, does it have premises (evidence, information) which leads to a conclusion?  If it does, write our simply and clearly how the marterial in the article manifests a logical argument.  If the article is NOT logical, but seems only to present information without a stated or implied conclusion, then say that, and describe how the article is NOT logical.  Finally, if it is logical, you can state whether you think it is deductive or inductive logic, formal or informal (and give reasons for your decision).

Report 1:  A summary in your own words of  Article A in the course reader
 
(“Chapter 12: Music Pre-Cuauhtemoc Era”). Your summary must include 
 
reference to 1) musical categories 2) formal characteristics  3)musical 
 
instruments.
