When people collaborate they are working together for a common purpose. In the case of a teacher collaborating with multiple professionals it means they are working together for the common purpose of helping the student they are working with. This may include physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech therapist, doctors, special education teachers, the principle and any other teacher or paraprofessional working with the student.  When collaborating with anyone it is very important to be open to listening as well as giving information that you may have. Many times individuals forget the piece of being a good listener when collaborating so when I become a teacher I am going to remember that everyone has something to say and I could learn a lot by listening to others.  I will give my input as well but be very open to others ideas.  Establishing a relationship with others that I will be working with is very important because if you do not have a good relationship it will be awkward and not enjoyable to work with them. This may make it so individuals will not be as open with one another so therefore collaboration would not work.  I plan to be kind and really get to know all of those I am working with. I feel that going into collaboration meetings and showing all that I value thier opinoin and am willing to work with them will go along way in helping establish good working relationships.
