Question requiring 150 Word response within 7 hours #2
I am all for Golden's ideas of museums being catalysts in their respective communities.
However, I pose this question to you and the rest of the class... how often do you go to a museum? How often, after having visited a museum, have you felt charged with the task to make changes in your life as well as those of others? All with art, or through being creative?
If you say, not often enough, or rarely, then we may have to reconsider Golden's idealistic views of the museum.
The concept of a museum being a cultural catalyst in a community is a great one, but what will it take for... movement to actually transpire in the community, with people?
Ideas? Thoughts?
