And have you ever encountered, in writing or in person, something or someone that has upended your expectation of what it means to be a celebrity or hero? How might you present a meaningful profile of a celebrity or hero and share with others this reflection? After studying and discussing various profile forms—both written, audio, and visual forms—you will research and create a profile in the sub-genre of your choosing for a specific outlet (magazine, radio show, etc.) of your choosing, profiling a celebrity or hero you consider to be an unexpected representative of what it means to be a celebrity or hero.
