qualitative and quantitative data will be used to identify an unknown inorganic contaminant.

profilemrshero

It's a general chemistry lab report about determining an unknown inorganic compound using qualitative and quantitative analysis. All the methods used and results are attached. please use the lab report rubric to make the lab report. check each detail in the rubric and follow it please.

Introduction

Includes background information regarding the topic of the project (e.g. theory, history, recent developments). The main question(s) or objective(s) of the project is being addressed as well as the projected way to achieve it. Sources are in-text cited.

Methods

A description of how the experiment was done with a meaningful reason why the experiment was performed in that way. Write the amounts used and the steps that led to results. The information provided here should be enough to reproduce the experiment.

Results

Includes tables and figures with proper labels and captions (e.g. Table 1, Figure 1 and what each represents) clear calculations using proper units. All figures, tables and calculations flow in a clear and understandable fashion.

Discussion

Presents a logical explanation for findings and addresses the questions or the objective of the project. Supports the claims based on results obtained in the lab, cites student’s own results and uses citations for background supporting information. Additionally, the discussion suggests what could be done or avoided for improving results.

Conclusion

Connects the theory, main objective, results and wraps up with statements that show what the student has achieved.

Research Connection

Describes a meaningful connection between the experiment performed in the lab and any recent research related to the same field within or outside USF.

References

All sources of information must be cited in the text (preferable with the use of numbers). A minimum of three references are required other than the manual.

Overall Format/Organization/Language

The format in this rubric was followed and all the sections were clearly labeled. Proper scientific language and units are used. Double space, font size 12 pt, page layout 1 inch all around.
