1. COMPARE/CONTRAST ASSIGNMENT:

a.     Students will read one professional journal article (Example: the New England Journal of Medicine, National Association of Social Workers, National Nursing Journals or JAMA etc…) Write a one page outline of content.

b.    Read one news article of mass publication (Example: USA Today, the New York Times or the Wall Street Journal etc…) related to a disease or health condition presented in the text. (The topics can be different!) Write a one page outline.

c.     Students will prepare a one or two page outline of each article to hand in and be prepared to discuss in class. Students will write a one page summary comparing and contrasting the types of information found in each article.
