(3) Statement of intent: stating the purpose of the paper

2. A policy background section: this section covers the history of the policy topic

(1) Causes of the issues and problems

(2) Group(s) of people affected/involved

(3) Political, economic, legal, and social background of policy topic

3. A section on the current state of the policy An overview of arguments for and against the policy (including critical analyses of each side)

(1) Current extent of the policy issues and problems

(2) Group(s) of people affected/involved

(3) Political, economic, legal, and social contexts and impacts of policy topic

4. A recommendation (or recommendations) for policy action

Entire paper should be in APA format. Paper should have at least 6 sources cited APA format.
