Part A

• Read Chapter 8 in your textbook.

• Describe a situation in which you (or another person) forgot something important.

• Using information from chapter 7, why do you think that the forgetting might have occurred?

• How might you try to prevent this type of forgetting in the future?

• If you describe another person, do not use his/her real name (use initials).

Part B

• Find a website in which eyewitness information was shown to be incorrect, or in which the eyewitness remembered events incorrectly.

• List the web address, and give a 3-4 sentence summary of the article.

• What happened? Was anyone hurt by the inaccurate eyewitness account?

• OR, find a website that discusses ways to improve memory.

• Have you used this technique? Might you try it in the future? Do you think it would work? Why or why not?

• If two people give the same website, the person who posted first will receive credit.
