Article Review Summary and Reaction Due Date: October 27, 2016

This homework assignment requires you to read a journal article focused on a child development topic. The goal is to summarize and react to the information and perspectives shared in one article.

Please select and read one of the four articles found within the Assignment 2 Folder. The articles are from Child Development Perspectives. You will take notes on the article and then summarize the article using the format below. Note: Please type your notes and responses within the review format (see next page). If easier you can create a new MS Word document.

Please include the following information. Be selective and focus on key points.

1. Title/ Authors

2. Article Overview: Include the goal of the article and the key terms. You should define

   key terms within the article such as temperament and also note any related theory.

3. Discussion Section: Summarize the key ideas and/or the research perspectives presented.

   In you own words, what is primary focus of the authors’ discussion?

4. Description: What are the overall article findings and/or suggestions linked to child

   development practice or further research? Include some specific examples from the

   article.

5. Conclusion: Do the authors’ perspectives offer you a better understanding of one or two

   areas of children’s development? Include your specific thoughts and reflections, add any questions and/or note any critiques of the article.
