  Writing sample – at least 1 complete paragraph for your paper which includes an

As we have discussed in this course, culture plays a large role in how we define and treat mental disorders.

  Write a 6-page double spaced paper on a mental disorder of your choice.

  Discuss the role that culture plays in the prevalence, diagnosis, understanding

(attribution), and/or treatment of that disorder.

  “Culture” can include gender, race/ethnicity, nationality, religion, socioeconomic status, and/or disability status.

  A minimum of 5 peer-reviewed, scholarly references must be included, and none of them may be on-line references (except for journal articles retrieved on-line).

  Papers should include a cover sheet, an abstract, and reference list. This is in addition to the 6 pages of text.

  Paper must be written in a writing format of your choice, (APA, MLA, etc). Use what you are most comfortable using.
