Project Plan Activities
· Describe your approach to managing this project (wk 1 project proposal - attached), including methodology used. (Update in your PM Plan Template Project Management Approach section -- attached)
· Identify sources available to understand the scope of the project proposal.
· Describe the phases the project will contain. (Update in your PM Plan Template Project Management Approach section)
· Develop the project scope for your project. (Update in your PM Plan Template - Project Scope section)
· Update the Introduction section of your PM Plan Template using a summary of the information submitted in Week 1 (attached)
Create your Project Schedule in MS Project. Address the following:
· Define the project requirements
· Define activities for the project
· Estimate primary activity duration
· Sequence the primary activities
· Develop a work breakdown structure and define the tasks
· Determine the labor requirement
· Determine necessary resources for the project which includes a minimum of 1 resource assigned to each activity then go to the Resource Sheet view and assign a hourly and overtime rate for each resource.
MS Project File must contain:
· Activities needed to complete the project (3 points)
· Duration of the activity (2 points)
· Predecessors (what needs to complete before) & successors (what will complete after this activity) (2 points)
· Resources (3 points).
