Project - Developmental Program Memo

Imagine you are the newly appointed Microsoft HRL who works in the U.S. but is responsible for the Singapore operation. After being on the job for less than a week, The VP for Human Resources asks you to draft a memo, providing guidelines for training and development for staff in Singapore to improve employee retention in that country's facilities.

Visit the Singapore government website and the Microsoft company website to learn about the skill level of professionals working in IT sector; the degree of Singapore involvement in enabling its people to acquire appropriate skills and knowledge; Microsoft's vision, mission, and values; and other employee-related information to formulate your memo to the VP.

• Based on your research, write a 1-page memo to your Human Resource VP, advising her how to proceed with developing training and development program for the staff in Singapore in order to improve retention.
• Explain how the guidelines for development would align with the company mission, vision, and values.
