Project 3 - Blog Post

Today, digital media is found throughout all business and personal activities making it necessary to have a high level of understanding of content sources and the method information is consumed. By the end of this course, you will have read and viewed various topics that highlight the impact of digital media on society. There should be an increased awareness of global, social, ethical, and legal contexts of how digital media is consumed. As digital media and technology continue to evolve, what affects will take place? What kind of impact will these have on our society?

Students are required to create an article in the form of a blog post about upcoming digital technology advances. This will include an in-depth research on an upcoming digital technology that could have a significant impact on society.  Give a full explanation of this technology through the use of words, graphics, tables and videos.  Focus on a specific group that it would impact and discuss pros and cons of it.  I recommend researching an area that is interesting to you and your course of study.   Students are required to select a topic related to global, social, ethical, or legal issues with digital media.

Formatting Requirements

• Double-spaced 1 inch margins
• 12 point professional font
• Title of Blog post and student’s name, course number and date
• File name first initial, last name and project (ex. BWright_blogpost)
• Use of at least 1 tables or graphs, 1 videos, and 2 images of appropriate size that are relevant to the information being conveyed is highly encouraged.

Content Requirements

• Minimum of 1000 words - maximum 2000 words
• Blog Post Requirements

2. Body

• Research (Full explanation of upcoming technology)
• Findings (Impact on specific group and pros and cons)
• Supporting Digital Media (videos, graphs, tables, images that support research & findings)

2. Cited Resources- APA Style (minimum of 2 current (2014 – present) professional / scholarly sources. Wikipedia is not acceptable.
