Briefly discuss the main qualities of early Modernism. Be sure and discuss the changes in pictorial space. Be sure and include the relationship of photography to late nineteenth century artistic movements. Find two works of art in the chapter and use them as examples to explain how they fulfill the qualities of Modernist art and how they differ from art done earlier in the nineteenth century.
