What , if any , is the relationship between type of conflict and DDR?
There is a comment by lecturer :
Just a quick note: The question is basically a Yes or No question. Firstly, you need to find if there is a relationship in how DDR is implemented depending on the type of conflict. That is, whether the implementation is different for ethnic wars, secessionist conflicts or revolutions. If you find that it is different then you can identify the key points in which the process of DDR differed. So for example, if in an ethnic process of DDR ethnicity did play a role or not. Or if the process of reintegration for a secessionist conflict was different from other types of war, taking into account the relevance of geography for that specific case.
If you find that there is no relationship; in other words, that the process of implementation of DDR does not vary across conflicts (or varies in unimportant ways) then you can explain why there is no relationship.
This is a topic in which there is not a lot that has been written about; which is an advantage for you in research terms because it gives you more room to write, but also it makes it more difficult to interpret. Please let me know if you have any other doubts or if you need more help with the essay!.
