PROBLEM 10–15 Comprehensive Variance Analysis [LO1, LO2, LO3] 
Helix Company produces several products in its factory, including a karate robe. The company uses a standard cost system to assist in the control of costs. 

According to the standards that have been set for the robes, the factory should work 780 direct labor-hours each month and produce 1,950 robes. The standard costs associated with this level of production are as follows

At standard, each robe should require 2.8 yards of material. All of the materials purchased during the month were used in production.

Compute the following variances for April:
1. The materials price and quantity variances.
2. The labor rate and efficiency variances.
3. The variable manufacturing overhead rate and efficiency variances.

Complete Problem 10-15. Submit your responses as an Excel spreadsheet. A template is provided on the textbook website. Go to the textbook website, choose "Chapter 10" from the dropdown menu on the left, click on "Excel Templates," "Chapter 10 Excel Templates." Save the file to your desktop using the following naming convention: LastName.FirstInitial.Mod5. Delete the tabs not related to your assignment problem. 
Add a tab to your spreadsheet for Problem 10-15 and label it "Applying." Complete the Applying Excel Problem for Chapter 9; go to the textbook website for Chapter 9, click the link to "Applying Excel," copy the spreadsheet on to the Applying tab in your spreadsheet for Problem 10-15. This can be accomplished by clicking on the upper left hand corner of the spreadsheet, copying, then clicking on the upper left hand corner in your spreadsheet on the Applying tab and pasting. 
I am just learnign the Excell and it seems that this additional form has other problem and that was what got off also.
