Price Discrimination

Firms frequently price discriminate.  Provide a brief definition of price discrimination and then give a specific example.  How was the firm able to price discriminate?  Provide an example where a firm should not be able to price discriminate -- your example should not simply be an example of discrimination (as prohibited by law).
