The course Research Proposal is the shortened version of the Course Project and includes the specific points of evidence you will use to persuade your audience of your argument for your topic. Because the Research Proposal is a short document of no more than one to one-and-a-half pages of text, the assignment must be written concisely.

The Research Proposal will be organized as a formal outline and will follow the example below. When assigning a title for your essay, be certain to avoid clichés or mere one-word topics and to use instead a fresh, original, title that clearly conveys to your audience specifically what your essay’s argument will be about
