Discussion

• You have been hired to lead a project (the project of your choice). As the project manager, you know it is important to get the project off to a good start. Using the tools provided in the required readings, provide a quick summary of your project, including the scope and objectives of your project. Be sure to include a high-level WBS for your project.

Respond

• Cannady Builders has quote a price to build an addition on to an existing structure. The addition we will be will be a 20’x 50 addition construction project and we will be adding a kitchen and dining area. Our objective is to be complete this project within 79 days or less this is assuming we will be able to stay on schedule and on budget. We have finalized the plans with the customers and obtained permits to start the project. Our first objective is to clear the area where we want to lay our foundation. This work is being subbed to an outside contractor who will handle all the foundation work required. After the foundation is erected an inspector is secluded to come out to inspect before any building is to commence. We have put a strategy in place and will adhere to plans as they have been outline. If our customers notice any changes they would like to have implemented we will do our best to accommodate them. Our goal is to make our customers happy and to keep our workers safe.
