Positive realtionships with students

Listed below are several of the key concepts, or tenets, effective teachers use to build positive relationships with students. For each tenet, write a short paragraph describing what it means. After you have described what the tenet means to you, write an additional paragraph or two describing how you are going to use this tenet in your classroom to build positive relationships with students. Provide specific examples and strategies. You can even include examples demonstrating how the tenet can be used to build positive relationships from your own experiences outside the classroom.

- Care and have patience with your students.
- Don’t make assumptions about your students.
- Get into the students’ reality.
