Portfolio Math Assessment
(This isn't hard-- this is why I'm paying very little-- please understand!)
- Find at least five regular household items that are shaped like rectangular prisms or cylinders. You must have at least one prism and one cylinder. The objects must vary in size. Some examples are a cereal box, a juice box, a soup can, and a toy kaleidoscope.
- For each object, complete the following:
- Name the object.
- Identify the shape of the object (prism or cylinder).
- Draw a sketch and give the dimensions of the object.
- For a prism, identify the length, width, and height. Use an appropriate unit of measure for measuring your object.
- For a cylinder, idenitfy the height and diameter of the base. Use an appropriate unit of measure for measuring your object.
