Your 10 page computer- generated, double- spaced research paper is due by the end of the last day of class. You may hand in your paper before the due time, either to me, or to the department office.

I. Introduction: 1/3-1/2 page introduction indicating the research question and specific hypothesis[es] to be tested.

II. literature review: 4 page literature review which supports your hypothesis using the 6 academic journal articles you have read to inform your hypothesis

III. methodology: 1/3-1/2 page explanation of the class research project, how the data was collected., and the rationale behind the minimum of three variables from the survey that you will analyze in this paper

IV. data analysis: 4 pages in length [at list two written pages/spss output ‘counts’ as the other two] which will comprise of:

                        -univariate analysis of the two variables corresponding to your hypothesis= minimum 2 frequency tables + appropriate statistics + write-up

                        - bivariate analysis of the minimum two variables corresponding to your hypothesis= minimum 1 crosstab tables + appropriate statistics + write-up

V. conclusion: 1-1 ½ pages in length, restates your research question and hypothesis/es, summarizes what the literature review found, restates the findings from the data analysis, and indicates how these findings can be interpreted in terms of the literature review. Also discusses any surprises or reasons why your findings may differ from what the literature review would predict.
