American Amnesia – Hacker and Pierson book;

Answer the following questions:

1.     In Chapter Nine the authors discuss three policy areas -- Health care, Finance, Energy – that have benefited from interest group efforts.  Discuss the interest group efforts in these policy areas.   Make specific reference to the American Amnesia book.

2.    Republican conservatives are now arguing for a smaller federal government.  The authors, Hacker and Pierson argue that government is central to our shared prosperity.  Discuss.  Which side are you on?  Make reference to the American Amnesia book.
