Political science homework

Every one is aware of the issues going on in Afghanistan and the apparent withdrawal of troops under the orders of President Obama. We are all quick too point fingers when things don't go as well as planned. Obama made the decision to begin the withdrawal of troops over a year ago now and there continues to be speculation on whether it was the right option.
In your opinion do you think Obama made the right decision? Also do you think that society should have an influence (vote) on major decisions in the future?
