While you offer an interesting analysis of the marketplace as an anthropological point of study, it's hard to discern here if you were able to observe the interactions in a particular market. Some observations at and descriptions of a particular market  would allow you to discuss some more specific ways you see people interacting within and with the market space. Similarly, these observations would allow you to answer the question, are marketplaces an "equal" space?
