This week's reading examines how humans interact with the environments to extract resources and create economies. 

For Part I provide a description and examples of four forms of Preindustrial subsistence strategies (ways in which cultures extract resources from their environments).  

For Part II explain how Industrialization differs from preindustrial strategies and explain how Industrialism is linked to the contemporary phenomenon of "globalization"

Your essay response need not be longer than 3 pages but not shorter than 2 double spaced pages.
