"Sophistry is the use of fallacious arguments, especially with the intention of deceiving."

The video I provided is one of Donald Trumps first advertisements on TV. It’s biggest problem is the deceiving video footage used in correspondence to his claim of building a wall so Mexican immigrants can not cross our border. This video is a perfect example of Sophistry. The short clip showing people run across a border is used. This clip gives it’s viewers the idea that this is actually our border and what it looks like when people cross over. It was a way to deceive the viewers and help in persuading them to agree with Trump. However, the clip of people crossing the border was not actually our border. In fact, it was proven to be the Moroccan border. Trump used that clip regardless to attempt to support his argument with the absolute intention of deceiving us all.
