Your paper about cognitive development was a good start.  You did good research, but you will need to work on synthesizing your ideas.  You often made comments like the articles said or in the articles which makes your paper like a summary or "book report" of the articles you read.  I have not read the articles that you did so you need to glean main ideas from the articles and combine them into a cohesive paper.  The following sources can help you understand what it means to synthesize:
