After reading Chapters 1, 2 and 3 this week discuss the 5 stages of play children between the age of two and five go through. Give a brief summary of each stage and what occurs in each. Once completed, recall that one of these stages involves children to play with other children, not just themselves anymore. How detrimental do you believe it would be if a student were not able to encounter this stage of play? As a teacher or caregiver, how can you ensure that children are able to play and progress through all of these stages?
