  • Class Presentations of Church Planting Proposals
    • Each student will present a hypothetical new faith community- planting proposal to the class for consideration and discussion, according to a template, which will be supplied. ‘
    •  WILL NEED A POWER POINT WITH IT BY MAY 1- 2016!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!( ABOUT 8 TO 10 SIDES)

 

A Planting Proposal. FULL 10-12 pages plus Power Point: including integration of reading and strategy designed with reference to the demographic challenges of the mission zone chosen. 

 

 

 

  • Definitions and Brief Historical Perspective on New Faith Community Development in the United States
    • Choice of TWO Elective books due (you do not have to have them read by today, just be ready to pick how you want to specialize and further focus your study this semester.  You will be expected to integrate significant ideas from the elective books into written projects.)
    • Church Planting in the United States before 1850
    • Church Planting in the United States 1850 – 1945
    • Church Planting in the United States 1945 – 2000
    • Translating the accumulated body of planting literature into moderate, progressive and liberal theological settings
