1.      Lobbying is a more and more important aspect of our government, influencing key decisions that affect all of our lives but only a relatively small number of Americans have any knowledge of the scope and size of the lobbying industry and the key role which it plays in our democracy.

1. After watching “The Best Government Money Can Buy,” in 350-400 words, please address the following: what does the system of lobbying at the national level consist of (who and what is involved) and how does it work? Where does the power come from? Who provides the money? What is it spent on? What effect does it have? How is it connected to the financing of political campaigns? In your response, you MUST use specific examples from the movie to answer these questions. Points will be deducted for not citing examples from the movie.
