You must write a paper on either Rousseau or Nietzsche. 

Rousseau prompt : Does Rousseau argue effectively that inequality is a moral danger?

Your paper must answer the paper prompt question. There is no “correct” answer; rather, you must make the case for your choice by giving reasons for your position and against the contrary position. Your paper must include the following:

A thesis

A description of Rousseau’s argument that inequality is a moral danger

A criticism of that argument

A defense of that argument from your criticism

A defense of your thesis including reasons (1) in favor of your thesis and (2) against criticism of your thesis

Nietzsche prompt : Does Nietzsche argue effectively that morality is historically contingent?

One inch margins, 12 point font, double spaced, times new Roman font. 1500 words long, which means no shorter than 1500 words and no longer than 1600. Spellcheck your paper, please. Edit your paper. Number your pages. Do not include extraneous information, such as “Rousseau was an important philosopher in the 18 ^th century,” or “For many years philosophers have struggled with inequality.”
