On “Defense Witnesses Describe Chinatown Beating”. Find the descriptions and inferences in this report, and include some of your own inferences. Do not rely on the title's use of the language of "describe". Indicate upon what evidence you draw your own inferences, and indicate how plausible you think any inferences made, either by you, or by the various witnesses, are. Are all the testimonies actually only descriptions - see the discussion of description and inference in the power point presentation for this week. How easy is it to confine yourself to “bare” description, where no interpretation at all is involved? Which witnesses are the most credible and why?
