Mountains Beyond Mountains vividly presents the work of Paul Farmer in various contexts centering around marginalization, justice and civic engagement. First, what are the prevalent themes with respect to marginalization that Paul Farmer encounters? In essence, what is the nature, causes and contexts of the marginalization experienced by various people and communities? Second, how is civic engagement used/undertaken by Paul Farmer and the members of the various communities to bring about justice – a more fair set of conditions –for the people/communities being marginalized? Finally, what do you think can/should be done by both those ‘inside’ and ‘outside’ the communities portrayed in Mountains Beyond Mountains?
