Greetings,

As you being your revision for the Unit 5 individual project, there are some things you need to consider.  These considerations are highlighted in the resources below.

Resources:

Introductions – Introductions provide background information and context to the reader.  Please see page 41 from the text book and revisit the Unit 2 Overview Announcement and Unit 2 Archived Chat for more information.

Thesis Statements - A proper thesis statement gives the reader an indication as to what main points the essay will cover, what will be argued, compared, defined, etc.  Please see pages 28-30 from the textbook, and revisit the Unit 2 Overview Announcement and Unit 2 Archived Chat for more information.

Body Paragraphs – Body paragraphs should develop and support the thesis.  Whatever main points you promised in the thesis need to be fulfilled in the body of the essay.  Please see the “Guidelines” link on the Unit 3 instructions for more information.

Topic Sentences – Topic sentences, essentially, explain what each paragraph will address and help transition from one will point to another.  Please see the Unit 3 Overview Announcement and the Unit 3 Archived Chat form more information.

Conclusions - The conclusion summarizes all the main points one more time to ensure that the information of the essay has been communicated.  Please see the Unit 3 Overview Announcement and the Unit 3 Archived Chat for more information.

Formatting – Having consistent format in the context of a workplace or a class is important, because it presents your work in a way that your reader expects.  Furthermore, following format ensures that your work will be viewed for its content.  You won’t have to worry about your reader liking the work of a classmate or co-worker better, simply because he or she liked the format better.  In the case of this class, following format is easy.  Simply use the CTU Undergraduate Template.  Please see the Unit 3 Overview Announcement and the Unit 3 Archived Chat for more information.

Examples - When we’re making an argument, it is vital that we bring evidence to the table to support our claims.  When we’re writing an essay based on our own personal experience and knowledge only  our best evidence can be found through specific examples.

In this case, you’d want specific examples of each characteristic yielding positive results to show why you think each characteristic is important.  So, if you chose to focus on characteristics that make a good parent, and one of the characteristics you selected was patience, it would be helpful to provide an example of an instance in which you were patient with your child, or one of your parents was patient with you, and then to explain how you or your parents showing patience had a positive effect.

This is the format that I need you to put this assignment that Im about to post in and you can also add on to this...

Please revise...

Parenthood is one field that is less explored in our brain cracking. Being a successful

Parent develops qualities in children such as honesty, self –control, cooperation and instills in them the motivation to achieve. The role of good parents is to protect their children from developing psychological problems and anti-social behaviors which increase their chances of failure to incorporation in the society.

Characteristics of good parents run from simple affectionate actions to complex installation of ideas and motivation to their children. A good parent should therefore be loving and affectionate.  Love while providing parental guidance is very important in raising children. Good parents should choose to respect, encourage and nature their children instead of judging and blaming them. They constantly affirm their love and affection both verbally and through their actions. When their children make an achievement they are quick to offer praise.

Through this children fell appreciated and cared for. They will therefore strive to do the right things foe the appreciation of their parents. By instilling such values in children is therefore a big step in making up to a successful parent. Such parents couple the process of guidance offering and affection on their children as a one go process.

In addition to this, good parents should be good managers of stress and temper. This leads to well-adjusted children. Children learn how to monitor their stress based on how best their parents do it during stressful situations. Parents who come home with complaints from work and take it on their children are bad examples to their children. Parents who are unable to cope with stress make their children unsettled and less secure. But if your children watch how you cope with situations he or she will follow the example and with be able to do so better.

Moreover, good parents should be skillful communicators. Such parents show genuine interests in all areas of their child’s life and are always available for them. They demonstrate respect for their children by explaining the reasons behind certain rules rather than just ordering them. This encourages children to express their feelings and listen with understanding. This shows children that their feelings and opinions are appreciated. Through this children will grow moderated and without the feeling of strain in following instructions.

Furthermore, successful parents are keen to realize their children independence development. Such parents choose to nature it rather than tamping it down. They make setting of rules in the house a joint play. They should also be positive role models in their parenthood course. Children learn through observation and often mimic behavior of their parents. Good parents will be therefore good role models for their children and will help them grow up informed.

Moreover, a good parent does not go at the process of bringing up children alone. He she takes the contribution of other people in the society. These could range from teachers to spiritual leaders. By doing so, the children will be able to acquire values their parents could not provide but such out players can. More into this is involving relatives and the general neighborhood presenters who could be of value to the children’s growth process.

In conclusion, parents should have more concern in making up successful parenthood rather than making happy families. A parent can have a happy family but fail terribly in the process of being a successful parent. It is therefore very important to consider the aspects of being a good and successful parent rather than just bringing up children.
