personal essay for college application

i have to submit a personal essay for a college application form. i am currently put on academic probation so on the essay i want to include how my sisters sudden death in a car crash affected my grades. but i am finally getting back on track due to the constant support from my parents. in the essay i also want to include how i am more determined than ever to do good in school and get my bachelors degree. 

it only has to be one page!!
