Re:Topic 1 DQ 2
The interesting topic for me is “Caring and the Christian Story”. This topic elaborates how nursing profession has been carried out throughout the history. Christianity have been the root for development of nursing profession of present days, however it is more termed as medical profession and scientific than caring and spiritual. (Shelly, J. A., & Miller, A. B. (1999). It is natural for any living being to fight for their existence or restoration of health in deteriorating situation through healing process. I believe this healing process can be speed up through caring or nursing.
Nursing is defined as both art and science of caring and healing sick people. Healing of any disease is not possible without caring and love. Nursing deal with not only normality and pathophysiology but also with the lived social and skilled body in promoting health, growth, and development and in caring for the sick and dying. (Benner P, 1994).
