In our globalized markets, policies are shared between regions and across industries. Students are required to research and present a controversial human resources policy being applied by a specific country or organization.

Complete background information must be presented (HR policy, legal data, scope of application), along with summarized examples. Why is it controversial? What events have occurred to spark social interest (or lack of)? The student will argue in favor (pros) and against (cons) it using legal and/or customary data within its origin. Then, reflect on our local scene: does the policy exist in Panama? Why would it be a match for our local market (or not)? Does it make sense? From your point of view, is this policy acceptable and conducive to improve human capital impact on organizations?
