Project: - "Develop a Project focused on Your Business”

Create a small business you would like to own that would employ at least 10 people (either manufacturing or service). With this business in mind, write a 15-20 page paper in which you:

1.  Form an operations strategy for your business.

2. Explain how your operations strategy impacts product design and process selection for your business.

3. Determine the key components of supply chain management for your business including structuring, sourcing, purchasing, and managing the supply chain.

4. Examine how the total quality management process is a strategy for a competitive advantage for your business.

5. Identify the key elements of just-in-time manufacturing and its impact on quality assurance for your selected business.

6. Determine which statistics you will employ to measure the quality characteristics of your business and how often you will conduct statistical analysis.

7. Analyze the key concepts related to capacity planning and facility location for your business.

8. Apply the key elements of work system design, the project life cycle, and project management to your business.

9. Analyze the key concepts related to inventory planning and management as they apply to your business.
