I need help with the SPi protocol of the raspberry pi

I need the code to send 2 bytes using the pins of SPi on Raspberry pi.

This has to be  a digital to digital protocol meaning for instance. 

I want to send followint two bytes

11111111 00000000

I should be able to send them and the recieving slave would be able to pick this digital data.

There is only on slave and from what I understand it should be some what simple code wise. 

You will have to help me understand the code and have me run it on my raspberry pi.
