Online Instructional Components

This presentation assignment provides you with the opportunity to visually describe each of the common instructional components found in an online course.

Perform the following tasks:

Step 1: Create an Online Presentation.

Create an eight to ten-frame presentation using the Online Presentation tool, Prezi. You’ll need to create an account, but it is free. Your presentation should include the following:

• Present three to four instructional components (i.e. learning tools, online lectures, discussion forums, etc.) that are found in an online learning environment.
• Describe each component and how it functions.
• Then provide at least two different learning activities supported by each component and give examples of each.

Use the information provided in the lesson presentation, as well as any other sources you feel are appropriate. Use personal experiences and examples where possible. Use a minimum of two scholarly resources to support your findings. Be sure to properly cite any resources used using APA formatting. Creativity is encouraged.

Step 2: Create a document that includes talking points and details to each slide of the presentation.

In a Word document, include talking points and details in the notes area for each slide. The information in your presenter's notes should elaborate on each point made in the main content area of the slide. Prepare the presenter's notes as though you were going to give this file to someone else to present in front of a group.  In addition, make sure to copy and paste the URL to your presentation at the start of this document. This is the document you will submit for grading.
