NURSINF EPIDEMIOLOGY

4 HOUR TIMED ASSIGNMENT   There are twenty questions, the majority of which are multiple-choice focusing on interpretation or application of epidemiological concepts.  A few of these multiple choice require a calculation.  The final two questions are case based and ask you for calculation and interpretation of the data.  For the last two, please show all of your work as I will give you partial credit if I can see your thought process even if your final answer is not correct.

study designs (observational; experimental)

epidemiological triangle

prevalence/incidence

confounding/bias

cumulative incidence/prevalence/odds ratio/relative risk/confidence intervals

There is a bonus question at the end of the exam.  Answer as fully as you can for credit!
